This, that, these, those — указательные слова в английском (A1)
Это четыре указательных слова: они показывают, о каком предмете ты говоришь — о близком или далёком, об одном или о нескольких. Без них не обойтись на работе, на собеседовании и в офисе: «this task», «those servers», «these files». Выучи их один раз — и больше не путать.
- this — один предмет рядом: this laptop, this is my desk.
- these — несколько предметов рядом: these files, these are my colleagues.
- that — один предмет далеко: that building, that is the server room.
- those — несколько предметов далеко: those computers, those are new rules.
- Правило простое: this/these = близко (тут), that/those = далеко (там).
- В вопросе и отрицании меняй глагол: Is this your badge? — These are not my keys.

Много предметов → these, а не this.Those is my manager.
That is my manager.
Один человек → that, а не those.These is my colleagues.
These are my colleagues.
С these и those всегда are, а не is.Проверь себя
